An augmented reality vehicle customization experience built for BMW through SCAD's SCADpro industry program — allowing customers to visualize paint, rim, and interior options in real space.
Developed through SCAD's SCADpro industry program in collaboration with BMW. The brief: build an AR experience that lets customers visualize BMW vehicle customization options in real space using a mobile device.
Built with Unity and AR Foundation, using plane detection to anchor a 3D BMW model onto real-world surfaces. Implemented a real-time material swap system for paint color, rim, and interior customization using C# and Unity's material property blocks.
Designed and iterated on the UI system in Figma before implementing in Unity's UI Toolkit.
Delivered a functional AR prototype to BMW stakeholders. The project demonstrated real-time AR customization as a retail experience tool — bridging spatial computing with automotive design.
